Shri. Laxmanrao Kirloskar established Kirloskarvadi with the vision of setting up his industry and communities for employees.
In year 1937 the school was founded by the visionary entrepreneur, Shri. Laxmanrao Kirloskar, Founder of KBL, Kirloskarvadi. The school was initially in the Mayappa Temple and was one room one teacher school. It has stood the test of time and continues to serve the student community of Kirloskarvadi and its neighbourhood with unwavering passion and deep commitment.
Postal Stamp Inaugurated by Post and Telegraph Department in January 2020.
The Posts and Telegraphs department joins hands with modern industrial India to pay its tribute to this great son of India, Shri.Laxmanrao Kirloskar – pioneer, industrialist, patriot & social reformer.
The Design of stamp is horizontal and depicts a portrait of late Shri.Laxmanrao Kirloskar. A mechanised plough with the depiction of a hut and an ear of corn is shown at the right side.
