The great revolutionary, industrialist and founder of Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Late Laxmanrao Kirloskar felt it necessary to start the education facility at Kirloskarvadi in the early decade of 1920.
Though, Kirloskar High School was established in the year 1936, much earlier to that the School was started by him initially in Mayappa Temple. It was one Room one teacher School. Late Shantanurao Kirloskar, Late Appasaheb Phalnikar, Mr. Shrikant Moghe, an Actor, Mr. Sudhir Moghe, the lyricist, are amongst few alumni of our school.
The school offers comprehensive education through a development approach. The School environment promotes order, freedom, a love for learning, a connection to the world and a sense of social responsibility. Initially till 1980s the medium of instructions was in Marathi and later we shifted to the English medium, thus being in line with the curriculum approved by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
Computer Science and Mechanical subjects are under vocational group for Junior College wing. With an infrastructure that supports excellence in all areas, school provides a wide array of all facilities in academics, sports and Information Technology.
